Hello Heiko,

I've no idea for Drag and drop, but I would place "Shift" in front (as Mihail did, too), as is usual in LibO.

Forwarding Martin's message, essentially the same as Mihail's idea.

Would be cool to have a Unicode symbol for DnD, and mouse symbols or a hand pointer exist but are not for sure represented in all fonts.

Hello, Heiko,

no, in 100+ languages you won't find such a quick fix.

But I wonder if "DnD+Shift" is the correct description? DnD is a description of a technique, not of the actual process.

Wouldn't "drag+Shift" suffice? That would make it shorter in all languages ... It is clear that - when you stop dragging and release the Shift key - it drops (somewhere).

DnD could be mentioned in the tip or help.

Some effort is currently made by Jim to allow drag'n drop from the Navigator
    not
just as link but also to get cross-references into the document. Users can     trigger the function via pup-up menu or per accelerator. And to give a clue     about the latter we should add some text to the menu, which could be "Insert as     Text Reference (DnD+Shift)" (for the full list of commands see attachment to
    https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36310#c21
<https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36310#c21>).

Now I wonder if DnD for Drag'n Drop is well-known and easy to translate. German     could be "Ziehen & Ablegen" abbreviated to "Z&A" - which users would never
    understand. Any idea?
