Thanks Ricardo,

I tried to start a new tunnel, but after echoing the command to l2tp-control under /var/run I get these error messages from the l2tp daemon

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# l2tpd -D

This binary does not support kernel L2TPp.

l2tpd version 0.69 started on host PID:26497

Here is my l2tpd.conf:

Any clues?

Hi,

Don't worry about this message, This error doesn't affect the l2tp deamon. Did you tried to make a call or tunnel? In ny system, instead of the message, I have no problem.

I hope I've helped you.

Subject: using l2tp

Hi,

I installed l2tpd 0.69 on a RH8.0 with kernel 2.4.20-20.8smp

I just unpack the tar file and executed make and ./l2tpd. I get this error when I run it:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] l2tpd-0.69]# ./l2tpd

This binary does not support kernel L2TP.

Do l2tp need any kernel support? I unpack the kernel source on my machine and find out for the string “l2tp” but I didn’t find anything on this search. Do someone know what do I have to do to use l2tp ?

Thanks in advance,

Fabiano
