This detector is located inside a residence 2.5 miles due east from the Pacific
Ocean (at A on map). Elevation is ~500 ft.

(The website has a Google map showing location of the Geiger counter.)

The radiation detector is mil-spec but unsophisticated.
We can only hope to catch a shift in background levels of
monitored
space and the use of CPM as a reference is the best method with
the
type of equipment available to the private community.
