I didn't know Sheila very well although I was matched with her for a swap in
recent years, so we corresponded via email at that time. She did seem a
nice lady and I think of her name whenever I pin her card up along with all
the other pieces of special lace every december.
It is always sad to loose another of our lacemakers so I will light a candle
in her memory in a while.

It is with sadness that I am writing to say that another Great Lacemaker has
gone to join her thousands of friends in that great Lacemakers Forum in the
sky. Sheila Brown from Essex passed away on Friday morning.
If anyone wishes to send their condolences I do have her daughters address,
and will pass it on privately if you email off list. If you wish to send by
email, please email me privately, and I'lll print them out and pass them
onto
the family on your behalf.
