I love bone bobbins, but the expression of my enthusiasm was curbed by a vegetarian member of my lace class, who will not consider using or collecting any bone items. Until then it hadn't occurred to me that anyone could have an objection to bone in general or even to bone from particular animals. Naturally I respect anyone who holds this view.
