I went to my thread collection and found linen Goldchilds Nel 80/3, Nm 50/
3,
which at first I thought I could use until I decided that the B meant 
bomuld
(cotton).
Again you are right, Goldchilds 80/3 will be a lot thicker

Now I am really confused.  Why the 2 numbers on the thread?

Are linen and cotton threads numbered differently?
Cotton thread is usually measured by the English Cotton Count  (cc)
Linen thread is usually measured by the English Linen Number  (NeL)
These, and other measuring systems, are *very* slowly being 
replaced/supplemented with the Metric Number (Nm)

cc is the number of 840 yard hanks of thread obtained from one pound of 
fibres, so  cc 80 means 80 of those hanks would weigh a pound.  80/3 means 
three of those threads plied together, so 840 yards of cotton 80/3 weigh 
3lbs.

NeL is the number of 300 yard hanks of thread obtained from 1 lb fibres
Nm is the number of 1,000 metre hanks obtained from I kilogram of fibres
The Goldschild thread you have is NeL 80/3, Nm 50/3.
Tht means three plies of linen thread.
On the Linen number (NeL) 300 yards would weigh 3lbs
On the metric number (Nm) 1,000m would weigh 3kgm
I'm not sure which thread  '24 par tr. nr. 80/3 B' indicates.
Finca Bolillos Presencia Hilaturra 80 is a three ply cotton thread
Brok 80/3?  If that is/was made I've never come across it.
Same for Egyptian gassed cotton 80/3
If you can tell me what sort of pattern you have (point ground, torchon etc)
 and what size grid it's drawn on - ie what is the distance between 
foot-edge pinholes (measure 10 spaces) I could give you better suggestions 
for alternative threads.
