A new member to our lace group arrived today with a home made pillow. When she
came last month she had the "Kit from Hell", so I advised her to get a piece of
builders insulation foam for a quick fix pillow. She purchased a 20" x 24"
piece of ethafoam from Farm and Fleet which is a chain of hardware/farm
supply/clothing/anything else you can think of needed in rural areas store.
She did say you could also purchase it at Guillians which is a large sporting
goods store in the towns. It is intended for use as an archery target! It
comes in three different densities and she chose the middle hardness and it
holds a pin nicely. She said it cost around $20. She cut it into a circle and
shaved some off around the edges to make a slight slope. It probably would be
a good supply for making your own block pillow. Just thought I would pass it
on.
