Well, Many years ago, my daughter Helen, who was in Denver, in those days, went to the bank for a cheque for the Australian Lace Guild ( for her membership fees) and the lady thought she said Lice Guild!!!! So your lady was not the only one to hear wrongly!!!!!!!
