At the discretion of the examiner, under FAR 61.45 (a) 2 a checkride may be
conducted in an aircraft with a special airworthiness (experimental)
certificate. The aircraft must meet all the rest of the requirements for the
checkride, ie. complex aircraft for commercial pilot checkride.
If you are not far from St. Louis, I would be happy to give you the checkride.
