Summary: LanguageTool 1.7 does not work well with openjdk-7

Initial Comment:
LanguageTool 1.7 does not work well with openjdk-7 & is very slow often causing
LibreOffice (LO) to crash.

Enabling the LanguageTool (1.7) extension with openjdk-7 causes the problem the
problem.

When openjdk-6 is used with or without LanguageTool (1.7) there is no problem.

When openjdk-7 is used & LanguageTool (1.7) is disabled the problem goes away.

So I think we have the culprit, enabling LanguageTool (1.7) on LO with
openjdk-7 causes the undesirable bug.

I assume this was also the "freeze bug" fixed in LO 3.5.4.

Message:
I can reproduce that the freeze on startup is much longer with Java 7 than
with Java 6. It's hopefully fixed with
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35270 , which will be part of
LibreOffice 3.5.4, to be released in just a few weeks. We'll just have to
wait for that...

Message:
@dnaber I am writing documents in English.

On checking 'Writing Aids' (Tools -> Options -> Writing Aids) I noticed
the Slovenian (User defined Dictionary) as well as the US & UK English
(User defined Dictionary) was checked. I have unchecked the Slovenian (User
defined Dictionary). After this, the moment I enabled LanguageTool (1.7)
the problem has started again. So I am forced to disable LanguageTool
(1.7).

Message:
Hi dnaber
It is generally slower than when openjdk-6 is used but particularly &
painfully slow at startup.

Daniel, I feel this may be the the same bug as described in the link below
that you may be very familiar with.

Message:
Thanks for your bug report. Is it slow only at startup, or even after that?
Which language are you writing documents in, probably English?
