Hi all. I trying to update gcc up to 3.4.6 - it looks enough easy, just some small hacks, and gcc-3.3.3 is known as broken on x86 (possible this is cause of broken wireless); and I saw that there are patches against soname modifications of libraries. And I don't understand why these hacks are needed. Can somebody comment this hacks? Or I need just to leave all 'as is'?
