<x-flowed>Hello all,
I am trying to get Oxygen up and running on my system.
I have used both Eigerstein2Beta as well as Eiger in the past
so I at least a little experience.
I used the newest Oxygen release dated 2/14/01.
If anyone knows of a better release to use, please let me know.
It is booting correctly and I am loading the second data disk
which contains the Firewall stuff. I have found the reliability
of the configuration menu to be questionable after it made my
boot disk un-bootable twice. But I found that if I edit the
configuration files using the e3 editor( emulating vi) and then
back up the changes using "apkg -a" I don't run into the same
problem.
The Firewall disk I used didn't come with a tulip.o or 3c59x.o
I tried to use a tulip.o which I found at
http://lrp.c0wz.com/files/modules/tulip.o
but I get the following errors:
modutils: loading modules:
insmod: unresolved symbol mod_use_count_
insmod: unresolved symbol current_set
insmod: unresolved symbol dev_kfree_skb
insmod: unresolved symbol dev_alloc_skb
I believe that I need a tulip.o and 3c59x.o which are compiled
for the correct kernel(Oxygen 2.2.18 ? ).
Does anyone know where I can find these?
Also, I am receiving the following messages:
INIT: Id "T1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
Anyone have a guess where this is coming from?
I have yet to find any really good docs on how to configure it,
but that isn't going to stop me.
I am already familiar with Seawall so I am hoping that
it won't be to hard overall.
Any help is appreciated.
Spencer
