I'm not sure exactly what you're using, and what you're trying to do. If you're using one of my distributions, please send questions like this to the Leaf-user list as indicated on my support page: http://lrp.steinkuehler.net/Support.htm
You should be able to easily setup port-forwarding to handle ports 3389 and 5900. Details depend on the distribution you're running (which you didn't indicate). To get a VPN working through your firewall, you'll need a kernel with the VPN masquerade patches applied, and various other setup tweaks. You can get started with the VPN-Masquerade-HOWTO (from linuxdoc.org or other linux documentation sites). My Dachstein release has the masquerade patches pre-applied to the kernel, and a patched kernel is also available for Eiger. I have been trying for several weeks and don't even know what good image I have left. I am trying to setup an LRP Bootable CD that grabs it's config from a floppy. I need to have Port 3389 from the outside mapped to the inside pc on IP 192.168.254.254 port 3389 (TCP) I need to have Port 5900 from the outside mapped to the inside pc on IP 192.168.254.250 port 5900 (TCP) Then the hardest part is this. I have a Windows 2000 server running VPN and would like to use it to authenicate remote users to be able to access the network. If the mapping of 1723 and GRE 47 is not easily done. I could use a linux based pptp server on the lrp box. I am using 3c5x9 and 3c9x5 cards. Can you help me out? I am totally lost and frustrated. I see everywhere DON'T FEAR THE PENGUIN!!
