Dear comrade,
We would like to invite you to take part in a
coordinating meeting to take place on
Wednesday 17 November at 6pm
at the Free Timor Campaign office, Trades Hall,
corner Lygon and Victoria Streets, Carlton South.
This meeting will plan a demonstration to be held on
Friday 10 December 1999 (International Human Rights Day)
at 6pm at the GPO, corner Bourke and Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.
The aim of this demonstration is to focus on human rights in the Asia
Pacific.
This demonstration is proposed in solidarity with the people of East Timor
and in solidarity with the workers' movement.
Guidelines include inviting each speaker to make women's rights a part of
their contribution.
Please send delegates to this meeting.
Please send a statement endorsing the demonstration
if you are unable to take part in the coordinating meeting.
