From: Hazel Blunden / Refern Legal Centre PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO OTHERS This Wednesday, December 1st at 10.30 AM at 214 Glebe Point Road the CFMEU and boarders are holding a demo to try and save the boarding house from becoming yet another back packer establishment. The landlord has given all the tenants notice to vacate. Some of them are quite elderly. One of the tenants has been there 30 years. You may have seen the story in the Herald and on A Current Affair. The landlord, Brian Galego, owns several boarding houses in Glebe and on Cleveland St and wants to get his tenants out, to renovate and provide backpacker accommodation. He hasn't applied to the Council. Come along and help us picket.
