The Acehnese people have been struggling for self determination since 
1976. Now almost 50,000 Indonesian troops are on the ground in what can 
only be described as a full scale war. This forum looks at the 
background of the current conflict and what we can do here to help.

Workers in the Australian Manufacturers Workers Union recently organised
three pickets in the North Eastern suburbs. The AMWU are leading the
campaign for a 36 hr working week, controls on non-voluntary overtime & 
no forced redundancies.
