If the archives are working for some and not others, then I'd suggest you might try purging your browser cache. Best way for Internet Explorer - shut IE down, right click on the link on the desktop, select PROPERTIES, then under BROWSING HISTORY, select DELETE, then pick your item(s) to delete (I usually do a DELETE ALL, but that can also get rid of SOME useful cookies - your choice). Yes, you can do this cleanup with IE up and running, but . . . And once your cache is purged, empty your trash can too (er - I guess it is called recycle bin now). Then restart IE.

You MIGHT also want to try deleting your Windows TEMP folder, but this SHOULD NOT impact the browser - usually! There are tools for this, but I don't recall them. I usually delete them manually, but that's risky if you don't know what you are doing, so I'm not gonna go into details on that process. (On a side note - having a bunch of junk in your Windows TEMP folder can cause your PC to run slow or even weird. Wish I could remember the "preferred tool" for purging it, but my mind is blank at the moment - sorry)

The initial screen looks normal, but the search result is forbidden.

Dick,

In a nutshell "No". I used your URL and got straight through using a Windows PC.

Is there a reason why the "archives" URL ... http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ ... keeps coming up with this message?
