I went through this also a few months ago, a cousin had some research that he was willing to share with me, but he couldn't figure out how to create a gedcom, he could only send me the full FTM file or pdf reports. A willing soul in this list helped me convert the FTM file to gedcom. Unfortunately, some people have software but aren't able to use all the functions in them, sometime through computer literacy/inexperience issues. Cheers Tracy
