Was an option ever considered for married name changes to place the maiden
names in parentheses and append the husband's surname, i.e. Jane Doe married
John Smith and her married name changed to Jane (Doe) Smith?

Actually there are now 3 AKAs:
* The "true" AKAs that we put under the AKA button (actually the "Alternate
Names" button)
* The Marriage - maiden name changed to male's last name that the system
generates
* The nick-name in quotes in the GIVEN field (ie: William Blake "Bill"
Patton)
