There's a Beta for MapCrucher based on Microsoft Virtual Earth. A free download goggle for it.

You can zoom in and it will display location on the cross hairs.
Great if you want exact location information for house, cemetery, hospital, etc.

If you can find it on the map you then get the longitude, latitude.

I prefer to research locations for myself - and the mapping has made it easier to explore the neighbourhood once you've found it. So now my locations are slowly getting Lats and Longs added from the mapping.
