At first I wasn't aware of the Privacy tab but have since re-exported using
settings that allow everything to show. As I say this new (created by
export) file seems to be complete and completely functional so I'm using it
for my primary file. Still a mystery as to what triggered the appearance of
the "child record was not found" error.
