You can use the method posted yesterday in answer to a similar question. Use the Search tab and 'search and replace' In the top box "Find Where" use the down arrow to find "Lists-Location" Then type in your changes(Co in the upper box, County in the lower one) and click Start, all locations using Co will be changed to County.
*Take care though, or you may find locations like Cornwall become Countywell. Experiment with a test file first, try out the settings options and check that the 'Find & Replace' works well for you. The short locations should be unchanged, but check. -- Margaret -----Original Message----- On Behalf Of Michele Lewis Sent: Sunday, 1 February 2009 8:32 a.m. I have all of my locations with Co in them for County (such as, Purvis, Lamar Co, Mississippi, USA). I want to change the Co to County and leave the Co in the short location. Is there any way to do that other than one location at a time? michele Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
