Mike’s comments about not hijacking a thread (i.e. asking a question that is
totally unrelated to the subject of the email you are using to ask your
question) are correct, but certainly didn’t answer your question.
If you want the notes to print for some reports (e.g. chronology report) but
not in others (e.g. narrative reports) you need to put the notes inside
privacy brackets [[ ]].  Then on your report options you need to select
Print  [[private]] notes – by default private notes DON’T print, so you
don’t have to make changes to your narrative options.

Do you know of a way to suppress the entries in the notes section when
producing narrative reports?  I like the notes in the chronology report for
research but i use Legacy to produce narrative reports for reunions and I
cannot find a way to exclude the notes text from the narrative reports.
