Jane, When you open your family file, what name shows at the top of your screen in the windows title bar? It should say "Legacy - [name of family file]". If it says "Legacy Another Format 1-19-14 2014" then that is why all your backups say that. To fix it go to the File tab and click on Rename File and rename your family file to what you want. Now on that same tab click on Backup File and when the Backup window opens click on the Options button on the bottom of the screen and there will be two boxes you can check, first one is to append the date to the end of the backup file name and the other box is to Append the time to the end of the file name. You can have any combination of boxes checked. If all of your backups have the same name then I would assume that both of those boxes are unchecked. After that you should be good to go. If you have backed up the media then those also probably are saved as the name above with a "-media" at the end of the file name. If you wish to keep your old backups you could rename the part of the old file name and change that part to the new file name.
