The correct way to remove children from a parent is to have the parents in family view with the parent you want the childe removed from highlighted, then right click the child in the children list and choose "Unlink from parents" and follow the prompts. Then bring up the correct parents in family view and then in the children list "click to Add a Child" then pick "Link to existing Son" or "Link to existing daughter".

My great grandfather has two children attached to him that belong on the other branch of the family. I tried removing them but my great-grandfather got removed instead. Is there any way other than entering all the information to get him back again? Also what is the correct way to remove children from a parent and put them where they belong?
