What you see when legacy first starts is set by a customize option.
Options > Customize > 1. general settings
Section 1.1 sets the starting view as well as whether you see the Legacy
splash screen during startup.
It looks like your option 1.1 is set to the Chronology View when you
want to see the Family view.
