Hi This should only take a few minutes. If half of the dialog is missing then you should be able to drag it back into vision. Then see if there is a button waiting for a response.
Do you have a current backup, which you should always do before running Check/Repair. If so, restore that and run the Check/Repair again. If you get an error messages - write them down and then go to the Legacy support site to see if it is a known issue. If not then raise an issue with them.
