Hello,

I don't know if ld.so.conf also plays a role in your problem
but I have Xm loaded before Xt in my config, i.e., my path
to Xm comes BEFORE Xt in /etc/ld.so.conf. I don't know if similar file
exists in your system.

  As I really didn't
know about Xm/Xt problems before I read here and I have few experiences
with X??, I just observed
the Xaw widgets also have vendor.c like Xm and there I looked
how they handle it but that seems similar. If you have
applications using Xaw and they are working, maybe you could
check how one compiled them to work in your system. I tried to
understand the problem about vendor.c but I can't yet.

  bye
Luís
