Hi! I am a bit concerned with the CJDNS hype I am observing around. I do like that decentralized Internet is getting momentum, but I am concerned if CJDNS is really the way to achieve that. From its whitepaper it seems that it is susceptible to a Sybil attack:
https://github.com/cjdelisle/cjdns/blob/master/rfcs/Whitepaper.md#the-router In fact, I very much share the concerns expressed here: http://mail.thefnf.org/pipermail/builders/2012-May/000544.html For me it seems far from something which would be resistant to any adversary trying to prevent communication from happening. It seems to me that it just ignores many of issues with DHTs and routing in overlay networks put out in research literature until today. Which is sometimes good because it can open paths to new ideas, but sometimes is just ignorant, especially if the main selling point of CJDNS is security and censorship resistance. Am I missing something? Has there been any security analysis of CJDNS? BTW, if you want to contribute to CJDNS project, there is a crowdfunding campaign happening: https://fund.meshwith.me/ Mitar -- http://mitar.tnode.com/ https://twitter.com/mitar_m -- Too many emails?
