          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 59934
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FILEOPEN: Slides lose background style when converting
                    from PPTx to LibreOffice format
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: michael.bro...@onleygroup.com
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 3.6.2.2 release
         Component: Presentation
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
Slides originating from MS PowerPoint with "bitmap" (graphical file)
backgrounds are displayed correctly when originally opened. When the user saves
the file and chooses "Save as ODP format", the background styling is completely
lost. Reopening the file shows slides with a blank background.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a .pptx file with slides containing a background image
2. Save the file in .odp format, then close it.
3. Open the .odp file you saved and note how the slides now have a default
white background.

Current behavior:
- Background image is lost

Expected behavior:
- Background image is retained and visible in the .odp format as it was in the
.pptx

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 3.6.2.2 release
