generally I run manually the sound module with the "snd" shell

HMM! I have often "apm: busy: Parameter out of range" when I ask
an hibernation. When I have 1 to 4 of this messsage, it is good.
Else I must run an init 6 via The 3-keys Ctrl-Alt-Del

What do you mean with "delayed config" ?
Some pcmcia cards need to have
# cat /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia
PCMCIA=yes
PCIC=yenta_socket
CORE_OPTS=unreset_limit=120
