#1685: Crash on View System Messages

Install of pre-packaged OpenSUSE v1.3.8.0.pm.4.1-x86_64
Most features are working OK. On startup Licq tells me I have 2 system
messages to view.
I click "System Functions -> View System Messages"
The program hangs and then several minutes later it gives me a crash-
dump/backtrace.
