Hi Han-Wen, I've just downloaded guile-1.8.1 from gnu.org, it seems that libguile/numbers.c has your rational patch applied, even though numbers.h still has SCM_FRACTION_REDUCED_BIT and friends #defined. So the GUILE-with-rational-bugfix test in configure.in may be bit too strict, and perhaps requiring guile 1.8.1 would be better?
