For full scores, this is *extremely* important. Today, music publishers no longer typeset pocket scores (approx. in A5 format) separately in most cases, mainly to save money. Instead, they simply scale down the A4 (or larger) full scores, which makes the result almost illegible due to extremely thin lines.
