Nilson, I had the same problem updating an existing SLES9 SP1 31 bit to SP2.
Someone on the list recommended I create a new directory and copy the contents of CD1 and CD2 into that new directory. Change the source location for YaST to point to that directory and use the 'Patches Update' function. This worked for me.
