Hi,

we at the Debian project just upgraded one of our machines from kernel
version 2.6.32.60 to 3.2.41. Now the system hangs hard after about an
hour of uptime without any trace whatsoever on the Operating System
Messages (it's running in LPAR mode with 2 IFLs assigned).

Does this ring a bell to anyone? Is there some known deadlock problem
that has been fixed in a later kernel ? If not, does somebody know how
to debug that? I could try the dump process, but I'm not sure what I
could do with the result[1]. And it does not seem to panic or crash or
log anything into HW messages. It is possible to issue a SysRq through
OS Messages anyhow?

Kind regards
Philipp Kern
