The bug in the FAIme service is now fixed. I forgot to change the /etc/fai/NFSROOT when using FAI 6.2.2 and therefore systemd was missing inside the initrd in the nfsroot.
The result is that the disk belongs to group root instead of disk. That's why FAI stops, because is does no detect a disk. CONCLUSION for users that build their own FAI ISOs: If you upgrade to FAI 6.2.X do check your /etc/fai/NFSROOT. It should NOT contain this line: sysvinit-core systemd-sysv- -- regards Thomas
