A few (not so important) notes from me:

Section 2.3: It's not the cluster manager, but users and
management applications that should heed advice from the metadata
(as you anyway correctly noted later).

Section 6.6: What actually guarantees the HA_RSCTMP is cleared on
boot is the OS, if it's LSB compliant. The cluster manager, or
actually init scripts, are not supposed to touch the directory,
as opposed to what was the practice in /etc/init.d/heartbeat
until recently.

Section 8.3: Zombies are actually processes that don't exist
anymore, but the kernel keeps the information about them because
nobody collected it yet.
