The symptoms 1 :
In R.H. 6.1 I have a link of /dev/cdrom to /dev/hdb.
When I try (as a user at least) to unmount the device it reply that
no such device. It seem it doesn't know to associate to the real device.
My questions are
Can I do a hard link to a device ?
Will is solve the problem ?
BTW 1. The problem happen when use the CD-icon menu to umount.
BTW 2. Don't tell me to mount/umount the old (and good) way. I'm not
the only user on that machine with this user.
The symptoms 2 :
I'm connected to the internet with ADSL.
To turn online I'm browsing some gateway, get a CGI welcome where
that ask for user name and password, and then it connect.
The problem - when starting Netscape there is no access anywhere but
the gateway, so Netscape freeze for a long time. I'm sure it is trying to
contact the mail server.
My question is : what should I do ?
