Take a look at the setlocale(3) man page - it explains all these variables. You'll see there that the difference between LANG and LC_ALL is their "priority": LC_ALL overrides any other LC_* variable, while LANG is used as the default for any LC_* variable which is not defined. -- Nadav Har'El | Saturday, Apr 5 2003, 3 Nisan 5763 [EMAIL PROTECTED] |----------------------------------------- Phone: +972-53-245868, ICQ 13349191 |Unix is user friendly - it's just picky http://nadav.harel.org.il |about it's friends. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
