Intel chipsets (like 855) include 3D enabled chip and the documentation can be found in their site. It is low-end as far as 3D OpenGL (and things like lighting aren't implemented in hardware). They will have a new chip in couple of months with better architecture, but still, it leaves you with the whole chipsets.
