At last, I have time to post again. Thanks, Ira, for the little advices.
And thanks to all the other guys for making fun of Ira's single luser,
it cheered me up a bit.

It was so long ago that I can't recall the exact file that was missing,
but it turned out that my /etc was not complete and therefore I wanted
to reinstall Sarge.

I will reinstall again from scratch because I want to repartition the
disk. It's time to free up that old Windows partition.
