go into the FC driver directory of the kernel, look at the drivers it has and see which ones are bigger with a simple command of "du -sh *". I never tried that but I bet you may find ones much bigger than others, they probably implement more in kernel than in the Firmware. If you find such a driver, buy the card it was made for and hire a consultant to plug in the hooks for sniffing.
