Hi. I am really sorry for bugging you again with basicly the same problem but I seem to be trapped again and this list is the only thing left where I know I could find help.
I have some dosemu clients and some Windows clients, who all want to use one shared disk on another machine. The fileserver is also Linux, so I can use either samba or NFS to export that share, but client Windows machines cannot use NFS. The problem itself is, of course, in locking. When I run n+1 dosemu clients, everything is OK. The locking seems to be working correctly. When I use _only_ Windows clients, everything also seems to be quite OK. However, when I use both(dosemu & windows) at the same time, they do not get along and usually just ignore each other locks. "smbstatus" shows correct locks with Windows, but false locks with dosemu (only DENY_NONE). (But it still _works_ correctly when there are only dosemu clients using the files...) I also tried to do it so, that dosemus use NFS and Windows clients use samba, but it doesn't help much. Samba and NFS do not seem to share locking info at all. I think I've tried all the ways how to configure the samba also, but nothing became better. Dosemu version is (1.1.3.7) FreeDos kernel is (2027) Any tips could be very useful. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-msdos" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
