Hi. My first post to this mailing list but I've got kind of a strange problem.
I'm writing some code that handles huge numbers of IP addresses on interfaces , so far I've played with 2.6.20 and 2.6.12 kernels and everything have worked fine.. Now I've upgraded to 2.6.22 ( Gentoo sources ) and adding and using my IP addresses still works fine bot NOT SHOWING the interfaces , my own app getting info through NETLINK only get 63 IP's ( of thousands ) in 3 netlink messages ... Same with "ip" just showing 63 ip addresses.. As said the addresses works fine but you don't get the info from the kernel. To eliminate the gentoo patches I've also tried the vanilla kernel 2.6.23-rc3 with the same result. Anyone know if this is known and if someone's working on the problem?
