Hello all,
I'm using RH 6.2 with kernel 2.2.14 and I'm having problems with a new
kernel.
Lilo says the new kernel is too big -
#Added linux *
#Kernel /boot/vmlinux is too big
Same for bvmlinux

Here's lilo.conf-
#boot = /dev/hda
#timeout = 50
#linear
#prompt
# default = linux
# vga = normal
# read-only
#map=/boot/map
#install=/boot/boot.b
#image = /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.14-5.0
# label = linux
# root = /dev/hda6
#image = /boot/vmlinux
# label = new
# root = /dev/hda6
#image = /boot/bvmlinux
# label = new1
# root = /dev/hda6

Here's an ls -s of /boot-
# total 3627
# 0 System.map 10 map
# 199 System.map-2.2.14-5.0 0 module-info
# 1 boot.0300 12 module-info-2.2.14-5.0
# 5 boot.b 1 os2_d.b
# 573 bvmlinux 573 vmlinux
# 1 chain.b 1609 vmlinux-2.2.14-5.0
# 1 kernel.h 0 vmlinuz
# 12 lost+found 630 vmlinuz-2.2.14-5.0

I must be missing something here. vmlinux and bvmlinux are smaller, but
lilo says they are too big.
I get the same type of response after "make zImage".
When I did make xconfig, I removed a lot of stuff and added 3
modules for ax25. I've been able to do this with older versions of RH, but
now I'm stumped.
Seems odd to me that bvmlinux and vmlinux are the same size. Shouldn't
bvmlinux be smaller.
Any words of wisdom from anyone?
