Here's the output of fdisk -l when the card is in the Shuttle reader:

Disk /dev/sdb: 1015 MB, 1015808000 bytes
5 heads, 4 sectors/track, 99200 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 20 * 512 = 10240 bytes

It doesn't work with the Sony reader.  

Having said that, testing it just now I found it was detected if I
removed and reinserted the card reader.  Something strange going on...
