Hello. I've been having troubles with a Motorola SB4200 connected to the USB port. I'm using Linux 2.4.21 kernel. I've read in many mailing lists that the zero packet bug that left the modem without internet was fixed, but I'm having the same symptoms detailed in the mailing list. I just do "ifdown eth0" and "ifup eth0" and everything works again. I don't know if this happens to anyone or just to me. I can't get 2.5.72 to work. The driver changed and so did the method of loading the modules (help!). I use usb-uhci driver. The other driver (uhci) gives the same effect. In the kernel I did activate the debugging option, but when the connection is lost, no output is shown, as if nothing happened. The machine ruunig the modem is a Pentium 100MHz, used as a router, with iptables. Linux Debian unstable. Thank you, and forgve me if I forgot any detail. I'm new to mailing lists =).
