Hi,
I cannot fire up my pendrive with my brand new machine.
The kernel detected the presence of the pendrive, but it couldn't
detect the single VFAT partition on it. sda appears in /dev (with
devfs), but I can't read(2) or write(2) or mount(1) or doing anything
with it (No such device or address). I've created sda1 with `mknod
/dev/sda1 b 8 1` and tried to mount it with no success. I've also
tried out a couple of kernel versions from 2.4.19 to 2.4.23-pre7 and
RTFM a _lot_ but I'm tired of it so please anyone help me.
With my another machine, which is a Celeron with a BX chipset
mainboard it works fine likewise at school on Redhat 8.1
(configuration unknown).
I don't know what additional informations should I insert beyond the
followings.
