Hello, I upgraded to Fedora Core 3 and now my box hangs as soon as I connect any USB devices when the ehci-hcd kernel module is loaded.
I tried to connect a Logitech optical USB mouse (M/N: M-BJ69, P/N: 830667-0000) and a 8-in-1 USB 2.0 card reader. The mainboard is a ASRock K7S8X. With ohci-hcd and ehci-hcd modules loaded and no devices connected: # cat /proc/bus/usb/devices T: Bus=03 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=480 MxCh= 6 B: Alloc= 0/800 us ( 0%), #Int= 0, #Iso= 0 D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=01 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=0000 ProdID=0000 Rev= 2.06 S: Manufacturer=Linux 2.6.9-1.667 ehci_hcd S: Product=EHCI Host Controller S: SerialNumber=0000:00:03.2 C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=e0 MxPwr= 0mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) It also hangs when a device is connected and the ehci-hcd module is loaded. There is no output on the console. Unplugging the device doesn't help, I have to reset. When only ohci-hcd is loaded, it works, alas at USB 1.1 speeds. Any ideas? Need additional data? Thanks, -Sven -- Drop the vase and it will become a Ming of the past. -- The Adventurer ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: InterSystems CACHE FREE OODBMS DOWNLOAD - A multidimensional database that combines robust object and relational technologies, making it a perfect match for Java, C++,COM, XML, ODBC and JDBC. www.intersystems.com/match8 _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
